When rare orchids were found growing in the woods around an abandoned hospital, Haverford Township acquired the land to create a nature reserve for residents to enjoy. The old structures were replaced with a new Community Recreation and Environmental Center. ThinkGreen's landscape design for the center ties stormwater systems into native planting areas, and designed a promenade that seamlessly connects the indoors and outdoors of the new center.
