PHS Farm for the City

Philadelphia, PA

Farm for the City was a collaborative pop-up park in Center City Philadelphia that focused on community building, public gardens, and highlighting social issues such as food insecurity. Located Thomas Paine Plaza, Farm for the City brought color, greenery, and shade to an expansive concrete urban landscape. The container gardens showcased more than fifty food crops from around the world, and produced over 1200 pounds of produce that went to feed homeless and low-income residents of Philadelphia. ThinkGreen collaborated with Veridian Landscape Studio and Meliora Design to see this endeavor of the Philadelphia Horticultural Society come to life.
