Located on a 12-acre wooded site within the Pennypack Creek watershed, the Briar Bush Nature Center provides outdoor education, recreation, and play spaces to its visitors. The popularity of the Nature Center necessitated the need for more parking and visitor amenities. This project triples parking, with only minimal increases to impervious surface. Stormwater infrastructure and educational opportunities such as native plant gardens and the Butterfly House are integrated with the new drive, so the Nature Center gives visitors a sense of wonder as they arrive.
